In the "old days" what was important was one's resume and formal credentials. Valdis Krebbs who specializes in mapping social networks recently made the following observation: "Don't show me your degree, masthead, card, URL, etc. Show me thh network you are in embedded in." With that in mind, here are the top 10 social networks for entrepreneurs, according to Dan Schawbel.

First thing that would come to mind when one mentions something about social networks would either be Facebook or Twitter. They were not mentioned on the list, but that doesn't mean entrepreneurs can't use them. There are advantages in joining social networks that are not strictly for entrepreneurs. Even though business coaches can give the better advice, some people who aren't into business can give you good pointers as well.
