Great Lakes Manufacturing Council-Focus on Indiana!

The October newsletter of the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council focuses their attention on Indiana.  Indiana is the fourth state in the Great Lakes that is the spotlight of Focus.  According to the newsletter, Indiana manufacturing employs over a half a million people in more than 9100 companies.  Between 2001 and 2006, its manufacturing GDP grew by more than 25% and currently represents over 28% of the state's total GDP.  For more information go to here.

Small Businesses Create America's Jobs!

According to the latest newsletter from Rural Entrepreneurship Newsletter, small business continued to create America's new jobs.  The updated U.S. Small Business Profile released by the Office of Advocacy in October shows that small businesses added 1.9 million net new jobs during the latest year.  To view this article in the latest issue of SBA's The Small Business Advocate, go here. ‎2007 Indiana Rural Summit - Register Now!‎

Have you registered for this year's 2007 Indiana Rural Summit scheduled for November 14 & 15 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Indianapolis?  This year's conference will focus on two themes:  Regional Frameworks and Wealth Creation & Retention.  Both Governor Daniels and Lt.
