Don Koverman is completing thirty two (32) years serving governmental, educational, and nonprofit organizations in both rural and urban environments. He has a broad range of experience in the areas of community/economic development, personnel/fiscal management, grants administration and strategic planning. Koverman is currently serving as Senior Associate for the Purdue Center for Regional Development, Purdue University.
His career experience has included working for the City of Indianapolis (14 years), as a city manager in rural Minnesota (11 years), on faculty with the University of Minnesota (2 years), Director of Community Development for the Southeast/South Central Minnesota Initiative Fund (a 20 county regional foundation), as a county plan director (2 years) for Morgan County, Indiana, and as the Executive Director for the Indiana Rural Development Council (2 years).
Don holds a BA degree from Butler University and a MPA from Indiana University. In addition he has also earned post-graduate certificates from Indiana University and the University of Minnesota in fields of public management and community resources.
