PCRD People: Don Koverman

Staff_kovermen_2 Don Koverman is completing thirty two (32) years serving governmental, educational, ‎and nonprofit organizations in both rural and urban environments. He has a broad range ‎of experience in the areas of community/economic development, personnel/fiscal ‎management, grants administration and strategic planning. ‎ Koverman is currently serving as Senior Associate for the Purdue Center for Regional ‎Development, Purdue University.

His career experience has included working for the ‎City of Indianapolis (14 years), as a city manager in rural Minnesota (11 years), on ‎faculty with the University of Minnesota (2 years), Director of Community Development ‎for the Southeast/South Central Minnesota Initiative Fund (a 20 county regional ‎foundation), as a county plan director (2 years) for Morgan County, Indiana, and as the ‎Executive Director for the Indiana Rural Development Council (2 years). ‎

Don holds a BA degree from Butler University and a MPA from Indiana University. In ‎addition he has also earned post-graduate certificates from Indiana University and the ‎University of Minnesota in fields of public management and community resources.‎
